Studio MDHR announced that a new story expansion ‘Delicious Last Course’ will be arriving to the game when originally shared back at E3 2018 to ship in 2019. For the future of Cuphead, more is said to come. The game while on a selection of systems did form a small cult following as fan art and other player recreations began to surface leading forward. Back in September 2018, Studio MDHR’s Cuphead shipped for Xbox & PC unveiling the charming world of hand-drawn visuals encapturing the era of 1930’s cartoons. While the game has gone silent, it certainly is not forgotten. I can't wait for the show and DLC.Listen to this Article: □ Listen to this But when hype is dwindling by a thread, people will likely forget the DLC was even in production! Like, "DUDE DID YOU HEAR THE CUPHEAD DLCS OUT!" "Oh that? Wasnt that supposed to come out in 2019? I completely forgot about that" In short, I love Studio MDHR and everything about them. I know me and a lot of other people are gonna be happy and are gonna play the DLC when it drops. Promotional stuff, release a demo, small pieces of artwork or screenshots, anything. There are other ways to hype up your game other then teasers. Chalice, two bosses, a snow boss, and Glumstone the Giant, who lives near a village invested with gnomes, and maybe some hints that scrapped content will return in the DLC. Chalice who has a double jump, and can be played through all levels, Chef Saltbaker, who will help Cuphead and Mugman on thier journey, and is also said to be a father figure of sorts to Ms. With The Delicious Last Course, we got Ms. Whether it was a look at a new character, location, game mechanic, it always got people talking about it. Scott Cawthon, the creator managed to keep hype for his games at a really big peak, by releasing teasers. Sounds like a dumb comparison but trust me. But with no, and I repeat, NO info about the DLC or the show, hype dangles from a thread. I think I heard in a article somewhere that the reason Studio MDHR doesnt give us much info is because that they want to keep stuff a suprise, and I get that. The fact that we don't get much updates is kinda frustrating. I'm still going to pick DLC up when it comes out, and I'm going to watch The Cuphead Show when it releases, but I'm not excited about either one at all by this point - because, for the most part, the only communication we're getting on either one is "Sorry guys - next year for SURE!"ġ00% percent agree. again, the issue isn't the delay, but the fact that we have no idea when it's coming. People tried to keep the hype going, but we got no info whatsoever until the next delay, and then the next one. With the two major Cuphead projects, the communication on that front has been abysmal - people got hyped for DLC, and then it got delayed. Meanwhile, if you know it's only a couple of months away, the hype train starts rolling - because you know it's almost there. If you know that a project isn't coming out for a few years, you're not going to get too hyped about it - because you just can't maintain hype for a single project for that length of time. There's a reason that companies like Marvel are so particular about when they reveal release dates - it's because they know when to do so to stir up the most hype. With The Cuphead Show, we've gotten the King Dice teaser, but no updates on release which is made all the more bizarre by the fact that a decent amount of it seems to be finished, so a projected release date surely isn't that unrealistic? There, to my knowledge, hasn't been any announcement about this delay just a silent changing of dates on Netflix. With Delicious Last Course, we've gotten no updates, no release window, zip - just the annual "Yep, gotta push it back 'til next year" update and that's it. The issue is that we're getting no communication. Now, obviously I'm not complaining about delays themselves - they happen, and COVID has put a spanner in the works for plenty of projects. The Cuphead Show was announced in 2019, and was supposed to release last year. It was supposed to release two years ago. We have literally no idea as to when either major project - Delicious Last Course or The Cuphead Show - is going to be released.ĭelicious Last Course was announced in 2018. Obviously, no form of harassment or the like is justified, but I think people have every right to be frustrated with Studio MDHR at this point.
